    Arm Patches on Uniforms

Does it annoy/bother anyone else that Jersey arm patches such as the Dodgers All Star game patch, Astros, Orioles stadium anniversary patch etc… remain on jerseys year to year

So year 2 of the season and still All Star patch Dodgers jersey. 50/60 year stadium patches still there.

Really kills some immersion for me. Anything to do? Would they ever fix something like this?

Yes it bothers me. Wish they wouldn't have them if not dynamic.

Same brother. Just don’t put any arm patches in the game at all. Year 2025 of a franchise and showing 60 year stadium patch from 2022 is a terrible look IMO.

I won’t use teams or play against team because of it. Maybe I’m strange but it just removes realism.

One thing I like about Madden, they didn't add patches to jerseys for anniversaries etc like niners raiders

I'd have to go back and remember, but didn't EA have some magical way of adding in Bowl patches for NCAA but they weren't permanent fixtures during the regular season? Seems like I remember that being the case.

Yes, EA for a while did bowl patches in NCAA and the Super Bowl patch in Madden.

They were tied to that specific game, and not the uniforms themselves.

Hell, there were bowl patches in NCAA 09.

So, it is possible but somehow SDS hasn't managed a way to do it on The Show? Alright, guess that falls in line with why we can't get more than 1 jersey model. I was super excited to see the mid 90s Seattle Mariners uniforms on the game until I realized how bad they look because they're not sleeveless uniforms like they were in real life. Then we still don't have a pullover look for the old style jerseys of the 80s and previous decades. Sigh.

                  Re: Arm Patches on Uniforms

One thing to keep in mind when comparing this game to Madden or NCAA is differences in the licensing requirements. This could be an MLB issue rather than an SDS one. As a licensee they may be required to follow MLB’s style guide “to a T” for the year stated on the game box. If the style guide shows a uniform patch, they may be required to include it at all points within the game. How strict these licensing requirements are may vary league to league.

I believe this is the answer as to why they stay on. I remember reading over the years that the devs are forced to replicate the style guide very closely
