Rookies of last year are rookies of this year as well

SDS screwed up big here first it was the age problem now it’s guys like India winning rookie of the year when he has already won it and the game itself even tells us that!

Yes so Franco or anyone basically that was a rookie last year the game says they are.

Also tried to sim and generate stats for cano to
Kill rookie status and export him. Nope!! Doesn’t work either a 15 year of service time with generated stats in he laye 30s the game will treat him as a rookie so gotta sit around waiting for sds to fix that.

    No y2y saves sucks !!!

What would y2y saves have to do with rookie status being screwed up?

with Y2Y saves we could have exported Cano with his career stats of last year. it would have kept everything but his face. we would only have to edit his face to how it should be and BOOM we have Cano with his card career stats and NOT a rookie.

Y2Y saves would also stop rookies from 2021 from being rookies in 2022 on the next season of your franchise. they would 'lose the status'

If they have stats and service time this year, what makes you so sure they'd lose their rookie status?

Yeah I noticed this too. In my franchise, Jonathan India is on track to win his second consecutive Rookie of the Year award >_<

I disagree about it being an easy catch. I've simmed the first season dozens of times and not once has someone won the award that wasn't an actual rookie. So something has to be going on outside of the roster just being broken.

Did you report it on the official site?

That is because your only seeing the end results and actual rookies just happens to win it. Check it each day of 162 games lots of players from last year show up in voting

They have screwed this up before the year Acuna was listed as a prospect after he won the award.

Mine right now has 4 of the 6 players that were rookie last year (and cano but we know why that Is) all in first week of season.

Most times India gonns win the NL one l as of. Guy most at bats ect.

No, I have checked these multiple times mid-season and never seen someone that shouldn't be there.

May 1st the rookie of the year rankings are Kyle Isbel, Julio Rodriguez, Spencer Torkelson, and Diego Castillo (pirates), Seth beer, Seiya Suzuki

June 1st - Witt Jr, Torkelson, Jose Miranda and Seth Beer, Diego Castillo, Matt Frazier

July 1st - Torkelson, Witt Jr, Rutschman and Seth Beer, Matt Frazier, Diego Castillo.

August 1st - Witt Jr, Torkelson, Rutschman and Seth Beer, Matt Frazier, Diego Castillo

Sept 1st - Witt Jr, Torkelson, Joe Ryan, and Seth Beer, Seiyta Suzuki, Matt Frazier

Winners - Witt Jr, Seth Beer. Beer hit .247/.319/.362 with 15 HR and 55 RBI. India never appeared on the list and hit .275/.362/.470 with 18 HR and 84 RBI.

Re: Rookies of last year are rookies of this year as well

I simmed a season just to see how it worked for me, and besides Cano (for obvious reasons), everyone that appeared in any rankings all year was a legit rookie. Seiya Suzuki, Colton Welker, Robinson Cano, Spencer Torkelson, Terrin Vavra, Oswaldo Cabrera, Alec Bettinger, Johan Mieses, Bobby Witt Jr, and Joe Ryan are the only ones who made the list.

I don't have any idea how Cano finished 3rd. He ended up with a .643 ops, 12 hr, and -1.3 war. India had a nice season (.820 ops, 3.9 war) and never made the list at all, so it seems my save didn't recognize him as a rookie.

                      That's pretty weird.

Yeah I’ve tested this as well and I’m not seeing the problem OP is describing. Are you using a custom roster? There has to be other factors at play here

In 10 years of simming and checking awards every other week, I have not seen this as long as they don't qualify as rookies based on the games programmed rules.

Now the RP being in the running for the Cy Young is still there.

Well I’m using roster update 2 and others have had the India problem
So Maybe they had fixed this in later rosters ?
