    Dynamic difficulty slider setting

I just started using dynamic difficulty this year as I tend to tinker between hall of fame and legend on both sides of the ball.

For those who play dynamic difficult, what setting to you set the dynamic difficulty sensitivity slider at?

I’ve been using default 5 and like it. I’m just wondering if it moves up and down a bit too quick. Just because the bats are cold doesn’t mean I want to drop a level. I feel when it does that, it’s might be too easy to get back into the game.

Love the concept, just wondering what others have found as a sweet spot with the slider.

I like the sensitivity slider at 3. Gives me plenty of time to come out of a slump and doesn't move me up too quickly from just a hot streak.

Wish they had separate sensitivity sliders for pitching and hitting. I want to lock in pitching difficulty but want the hitting to be adjusting.

I agree. I’m going to try 3. I was thinking that would be the sweet spot.

I do like how moving up and down can create late rallies but don’t want it to be gimmicky, 3 seems to be that spot.

I agree. I was going to say that in my post too about pitching and batting sliders.

As you play more the sensitivity will slow down. For example, if you bounce back and forth between the same two difficulty levels a few time, it’ll begin taking a lot longer to move up or down. So I wouldn’t touch the slider.

How do I start at a specific level? Say I wanted to start at all star or hof instead of starting at beginner? I don’t know how but my profile reset so dynamic difficulty reset to beginner and I don’t want to work myself all the way back up.

I had this problem and found a work around:

            1. Go to your ps4 settings then account management and sign out. This makes mlb the show think you’re a new user.
            2. Launch mlb and you’ll be prompted to do the tutorial thing again as if you launched game for first time
            3. End of tutorial it ask what level. Choose hof or legend and then the dynamic difficulty choice pops up, hit yes.
            4. Make other preferred setting changes (camera, pitching inference whatever) and save profile.
            5. You can play as is I think but I closed the game, went to setting then account management and signed back in. I either did that or I just kept the mlb game open and logged in via account management. If one doesn’t work, try the other method.

The game should keep the new profile setting with dynamic difficulty at Hof/legend.

Let me know if this works. I was going to post this because it’s the only way I’ve found that allows you to reset the setting after doing the tutorial.

They really shouldn’t make you start at beginner if you want to try dynamic later on.

Whoa so just logging out and back in on the ps4 allows you to reset your dynamic difficulty?

Yes sir. If you log out via Account Management in the PS4 system settings.

I found this out because I wanted to use dynamic difficulty but didn't want to start at rookie. Seems when you disconnect your account, MLB thinks it's a new user and does the whole first launch tutorial again.
