    Wind

Anyone have opinions on whether or not the default slider setting for wind reflects how the wind effects the ball in real life?

I’ve seen wind play carnage on fielders the last week or so IRL, but rarely see it have any effect in the game other than keeping potential HR’s at bay if it’s blowing in.

I’m tempted to raise the slider for it to be more effective but don’t want it to be unrealistic.

    Advice appreciated!

I did the same. I think it regulates temp better as well in stadiums. A little more believable. Wind 4 is a solid setting

Madden get rid of the extras (SS/XF, HFA, media, scenarios, game plan) or turn them down considerably.

I changed my whole approach to wind about a year ago: if the date of the game I'm playing has already passed IRL, I set the wind in the game I'm currently playing to match. if the date of the game hasn't passed IRL, I set the wind to what it was on that date exactly one year earlier

Wind has an impact on multiple things. Power is the big one. Over the last few iterations, I have found that 4 is the ideal wind setting. You can still get 10+ mph winds in overcast and rainy games but the slider at 4 has the ideal impact on power.

Same rule for wind I use for trade sliders: going over 5 causes more issues.

I would put it at 4 and not look back.
