Not sure I'd call the current fatigue system heavily exaggerated. I've got no issue with guys playing 5-6 days straight. If I get a scheduled day off they are ready to go play another 4-5 days minimum. If no built in rest day, then yes they'll take a game off.

I've played all 162 the last 2 years and no issue getting several starters over 150 games played. Typically injury and or performance are why my guys will fall under that mark. Of course, there are exceptions for players with very low durability who fatigue quickly.

IRL, I'd love to see how many players league wide played over 140 games. My Tigers for example had 2 players over 150 and 3 players over 140.

EDIT: Checked and in the entire league only 44 players were over 150 games played in 2021, less than 2 per team.

Well as I said, for my purposes and the way I play, I prefer to determine when guys get a day off, it's really each player's preference, but just in my opinion, I think it's exaggerated for guys who play 150 games per season in real life to end up getting scratched as often as every 5 days. It's not everyone that this happens to but that it happens at all means the AI can't be left to its own devices. It also makes no effort to evaluate the importance of the matchup. I've seen crucial games going back to The Show 06 where the AI wanted to bench players that hardly ever take breaks in real life. There's also no logic to how they fatigue. A guy who goes 0 for 4 and never fields the ball will fatigue more sometimes in that game than another who is heavily involved in the same game.
