I'm not noticing much in terms of changes to hitting, but I would implore everyone to check their tv settings. Before the VRR update, I was always at 60fps and now my TV says the game is running at 120 fps.

You said the hitting needed to be patched. I still don't know who the guy is other than he writes for Forbes.Comment

I didn't think so either, but it was in my system settings....do not assume you don't have it; definitely check. I turned it off and the game was fine.Play the games you love, not the games you want to love.Comment

Yes, this exactly. It wasn't showing up in my system settings until I clicked on update system features. Then it showed up, turned off the option to use VRR on non supported games, and the framerate is smooth again.

I just played a game and am noticing the same thing. Some stuttering when the ball is in play. Hadn’t noticed anything before.

On the PS settings. Go to screen and video and you should see a VRR setting in there. If you don't see it, go to Settings, then System, and then System Feature Updates. Click on that and then wait for a minute. It will say that they are all installed. Then go back to screen and video in the settings on the PS, and VRR should be there then.

So, while disabling VRR worked this might not be ideal for some....I think the actual problem is with the 120 Hz setting (I saw a vid about this and it actually makes more sense). If it is in automatic, turning it off may be a more appropriate fix.
(this is in the same submenu as VRR in the system menu)Play the games you love, not the games you want to love.Comment

Not everyone is computer literate. I asked Josh if it was in the game settings, or in the PS. If it's in the PS I went to settings/system/
But then what?Comment
