    Dynamic Difficulty.....Please Help...

    Hey guys,

I am by no means the best player of this game but dynamic difficulty is frustrating me this year, especially for pitching.

I have been stuck on minors + for several games in my franchise. (USually an all star/HOF back and forth in previous years). It wouldnt be bad, but in these games, i am giving up 0 runs, 1-3 hits, and striking out 15-20 guys. Every time. But the progression is so slow, it doesnt level up to rookie by the end if the game. Then, the start of the next game, it resets the meter the 50%. its like a never ending cycle. Is there any way to get through this or avoid this?

    Thanks in advance.

Could be a bug it happened last year as well where the dynamic difficulty would reset after every game played.

      Two things you could do:

      1. Change the dynamic difficulty slider to 10 so it moves up (and down) quicker. Once you get to a preferred skill level, you can move to 0 or 1. 0 will lock it, 1 will very slowly move it up or down.

      2. You could do a profile reset and choose a higher difficulty by doing the first launch tutorial again.

There’s a trick to doing this. I copied and pasted my response from another thread a while back but these steps work.

“I had this problem and found a work around:

      1. Go to your ps4 settings then account management and sign out. This makes mlb the show think you’re a new user.
      2. Launch mlb and you’ll be prompted to do the tutorial thing again as if you launched game for first time
      3. End of tutorial it ask what level. Choose hof or legend and then the dynamic difficulty choice pops up, hit yes.
      4. Make other preferred setting changes (camera, pitching inference whatever) and save profile.
      5. You can play as is I think but I closed the game, went to setting then account management and signed back in. I either did that or I just kept the mlb game open and logged in via account management. If one doesn’t work, try the other method.

The game should keep the new profile setting with dynamic difficulty at Hof/legend.

Let me know if this works. I was going to post this because it’s the only way I’ve found that allows you to reset the setting after doing the tutorial.

They really shouldn’t make you start at beginner if you want to try dynamic later on. “

Glad it worked for you man. I love dynamic difficulty but I bet they lose some that would try it by not allowing you to choose what level to start at in game.
