I know Rizzo had a great month, but man they really overpowered him with this update. I thought his original rating of 79 was probably pretty accurate. He hits bombs like Barry Bonds now.

yeah SDS have a habit of overreacting they made DJ a 99 overall in 2020 too.

Ohtani is 99 power for both left and right lol but in my franchise he is hitting 108 and 2 for 24 after 6 games and struggling.

Yeah that’s why I usually like to use the rosters before they start tinkering with them. They tend to go a little overboard with the ratings updates. Unfortunately I accidentally deleted the save from April 15th, so I guess I’m stuck with this one.

Yeah that’s why I usually like to use the rosters before they start tinkering with them. They tend to go a little overboard with the ratings updates. Unfortunately I accidentally deleted the save from April 15th, so I guess I’m stuck with this one.

When Ben Verlander visited the studio for his YoutTube show/podcast I believe they mentioned that they weigh the current season pretty heavily when doing roster updates. Mostly for the online crowd as it kind of creates a cool dynamic since there is a little bit of hype around who will be upgraded and downgraded every two weeks.

If they weighed it the same way as the out of the box ratings (last 3 seasons roughly equally [I think]), hardly anyone would change more than 1 or 2 points in any given rating

That’s why I just start with the opening day update and stick with that all year. Not a big fan of the “I can’t wait to see who’s going diamond” updates we get. But I understand why they do them.

Probably why I won’t use ridins rosters this year. They are use the April 29th update and there is just too many minus 15 here and minus 10 there attribute changes based on such a small sample size. In the days of DD being king these updates are here to stay. Thankfully the opening day roster update is pretty good

but then you get someone like Kwan who was a 61 out of the box. hit is a hit machine but they didn't overreact and make his contact 99 lol they would have had it been a 'well known player' the guy doesn't even have audio he is just 'number 67'

u just have to do your own ratings which baseball might be the easyest sport to rate because most everything they track is on a 1-100 scale anyway
