    How are you franchising?

Hello everyone. I wanted to see how everyone is handling the extra pitchers that are allowed so far this season? I like to do a realistic franchise where I keep up with what's going on in real life. I haven't started my franchise yet this year as I'm waiting for Ridin's roster to be released, but here is my idea on how I think I'll handle it.

Obviously start with 30-team control. Make all the realistic injuries possible. If there are too many injuries on a team, then I'll remove certain players from the 40-man roster (that are above 6+ years of service time) and stash them in A-ball.

Now for the extra pitchers. I believe what I'll do is if there is a pitcher in their bullpen with 6+ of service time, I'm going to send them down to the minors in favor of one of the 'extra' arms in the bullpen. This will allow service time to properly be added to players with 0-6 years of service time.

Also, with the schedule in The Show not accurate, I'll just sim the first week of the season and "start" my franchise with where the MLB season started.

Does all of that make sense? Is there anything I'm missing/could do differently to make it as realistic as possible?

What are y'all doing to have an accurate franchise? Thanks!

my franchise isn't really a true franchise in that it's just for one season and done.
also, I don't do 30 team control. I have my hands full running one organisation into to the ground, I couldn't possibly be expected to do that to all 30 teams lol

I used to use 30 team control and micromanage every facet of the league in my franchises, but I’ve become a much more distant god as I get older.

All I do now is wait for a good roster and then let the chips fall where they may. I might try and mirror a trade or two with my team if it times out where the trade happens irl before my franchise deadline.

I don’t care what the other teams do. I just play each game and do my own thing.

I'm loving the 26 man roster from the last couple or 3 years. having 13 pitchers has made it a bit easier on me in handling my bullpen (which by the way, isn't short for bullpenis, as I previously thought). I used to be constantly shuttling arms back & forth between MLB & AAA. I stil do it, just not to the extent I used to
