Simulated Games Have Very Low Strikeout Totals

This has been an issue for sometime in this franchise and it's still here. I am 20 games into my franchise mode and as the Braves I have 194 strikeouts which is 9.5 per game, a bit higher than their 9.05 in real life.

That's fine. However, the next worst team in the franchise is Oakland at 152 in 20 games. That's 7.5 and would have them at 4th least in real life right now. Yes, the worst CPU team in terms of striking out is striking out 7.5 times per game in 2022.

Toronto has 97 strikeouts in 18 games. That's 5.4 k's per game. You have to go back to 2011 to find the last time a team in real life finished a season below even 6 k's per game. Texas was the lone team under 6 that year at 5.84. You have to go back to 2007 to find the last time a team finished with a rate under 5.5 per game. That year the Mariners, Twins, and Dodgers all had below 5.5 k's per game with the Twins leading the league at 5.21.

This isn't gigantic issue, but it would be nice to see them get stats closer to what we are seeing in real life. Today's game is all about strikeouts and going deep, yet the simulated stats don't reflect that at all.

Yep, known issue. Too few Ks, too many hits. My kingdom for stat sliders like NBA2k has but I won’t hold my breath.

You need to bump every pitchers k rating by10 points
And every pitcher in the majors hits allowed rating to atleast 60-65, if they are already higher then don't change it.... its tedious work but it does make a difference, sliders don't help at all

      Toronto Maple Leafs
      Baltimore Ravens

Yeah people don’t realize how low the starters K ratings are in the game.

I appreciate people bringing up roster edits or rosters to use to get somewhat of a fix, but I am not interested in those. I wanted to simply raise awareness about the issue. If SDS can fix the issue themselves, or introduce more sliders for simulated games, that would be great. I'm fine using sliders to fine tune the game, but I am past the days of going in and editing player ratings to get a game to play more accurately to real life.

Unfortunately both the community and SDS is well aware of the issue, the problem is only one party has the power to do anything about it. We’ll probably see it added as a feature for MtO one day tho 🙄

This game is sorely in need of a similar roster utility as NBA 2k. Especially the ability to globally edit ratings. Game changer.

MyNBA may not be perfect but MLBTS could learn a ton from 2k’s franchise mode. It’s far and away the best franchise mode out there.
