But SDS doesn't really make sense with their steal ratings. Albies had 20 last year and averages 17 per full season for his career, but gets a 48. SDS supposedly uses 3 year rolling stats a lot. In the last 3 calendar years, Acuña is tied for 5th in Stolen Bases at 64 for 79 (81%) despite missing half a season. He gets a 65 steal rating. The guy he's tied with, Jonathan Villar, is 64 for 83 (77%) and gets an 80 steal rating. Jose Ramirez is 9th in SB in that span (52 for 62 - 84%) but only gets a 53 steal rating. I have no idea what they're using to determine steal ratings. Maybe they have access to not publicly available statcast data on stolen base jumps or something.

I'm glad you mentioned Acuna, cause it's crazy how low his steal rating is. He's only played 13 games this season and already has 7 stolen bases.

The 12 players in baseball with 7 or more SB (with their steal ratings) are Harrison Bader (44), Jorge Mateo (79), Julio Rodriguez (65), Tommy Edman (62), Kyle Tucker (85), Myles Straw (66), Eli White (38), Kolten Wong (35), Tim Anderson (60), Cedric Mullins (75), Trea Turner (92), and Acuña (65). Tommy Edman was 2 off the NL lead last year too and only gets a 62. Makes no sense to me.

I know that Ridin and crew doesn't change ratings for MLB players, only minor leaguers, but do they post their rating scale anywhere so we could go in and fix this if we wanted to?
