Video Settings On PS5 Version?

I just bought and downloaded the game. Is there no more option to adjust the resolution and output on the PS5 version? Up until this year there has always been the option to change the picture but all of a sudden they changed that? My picture is a little fuzzy and seems to bright, and before anyone asks, it's not my tv or the PS5 settings, every other game is perfectly clear, no issues whatsoever.

No, on the next gen versions you can't change any video options in the settings of the game. They actually took that out starting last year.

Nope I don't. The game looks beautiful and clear on my end. I'm not sure why it wouldn't be on yours

I haven’t played a game yet, so I’ll check that and see how it looks. I’ve seen great screenshots and videos from everyone so I’m hoping it’s just a menu thing for me or something. Never had an issue with any MLB The Show game that wasn’t fixable, and I’ve been playing since 06.

Which version of The Show did you buy? If you bought the digital deluxe version or any version that gives you both the PS4 & PS5 versions, make sure you downloaded the correct one. Sounds silly but you wouldn't be the first one to do that trust me. Just a thought [emoji4]

I figured it out... it was my PS5. I went in and played a game, and it was the same thing, could barely read the stats on the big screen and everything was way too bright and out of focus, so I messed around and found in the PS5 video output settings that the "Enable 120 Hz Output" was on, and it says if you experience video output problems with games that support that feature, to turn it off, which it did for MLB 22, but never any other games. I went in and started another game... PERFECTLY CLEAR!!! So if anyone else has the same issue... problem solved.

Sounds to me like its an issue with not having HDMI 2.1 and not so much the game or system itself. Without HMDI 2.1 and with the 120hz option enabled it was probably falling back to 1080p 120hz because HMDI 2.0 can't support 4k 120hz, hence the blurry picture quality.

Would be nice if the video/resolution settings were included on the PS5 version because I'm not a fan of the inconsistent framerate on the PS5 game. I actually find the PS4 game on PS5 with balanced settings to be a smoother experience.

Since activating VRR the framerate has been as smooth as you could expect, and I’m sensitive to it. The only time I see any sort of drop is batter cutscenes with crowd in the background. Even then it’s not exactly jittery, just less smooth than the rest of the time. I couldn’t be happier now.
