Unexpectedly, I'm having the most success using the "Retro" view. I have pitch speed maxed, and my reaction/timing is better in this view than the others I tried because the ball doesn't appear to be instantly on top of me and I can see the pitchers release point better, so pitch recognition is easier too. I'm using analog controls (w/stride + directional).

Re: Im constantly changing the hitting view
Tigers can’t hit irl and I can’t hit either. Love the symmetry with real life but it’s turning into a real slog (AS+ with contact and power at 4, for the record). Team BA: .229. Team OBP: .299. Yuuuck. (Somehow I’m still 27-25 however.)
What I’ve been doing lately is taking the approach where I don’t swing until I get a strike. This forces you watch a few pitches. Nothing worse than knowing you need to take some pitches, but then swinging at a cookie anyway because it’s “right down the middle,” only to mis-time tf out of it and nub a flaccid blubber to 2B.
Take more pitches. Get the TIMING right first. THEN start sitting on pitches.
Anyway … camera-wise I’m on THE SHOW 16 with some subtle tweaks. The main thing i did was make sure that at my home park the bottom of the strike zone lines up exactly with the dirt.Last edited by Detroit Tigers; 05-26-2022, 12:54 PM.Just one man’s opinion.

Taking pitches and working the count is always the best medicine. Even letting some meatballs go in order to work the count. Ya gotta do it.Tigers can’t hit irl and I can’t hit either. Re: Im constantly changing the hitting view
Absolutely. In my test chise on default AS I started 12-2 & 18-8 and was leading the league in OBP, SLG, HR, and AVG, so I know how to hit; the bump in difficulty is just subtle enough to where I’m very excited to see if I can turn this around. I have no real idea if I can or not. Just like the real team. Can’t say it enough: amazing game.Just one man’s opinion.
