    Do pitching cameras matter?

I was wondering what everyone’s thoughts are on the use of pitching cameras? I understand hitting cameras for sure. It affects the pitch speed, the angel of the pitch etc. But what about pitching cameras? I’ve had the pitching ball marker, strike zone, hot zones, well everything off for years now so I’m not sure what difference it makes for me at least. I might be wrong but don’t you essentially move the pitch just as far regardless of the camera? Do you think it actually has a affect on gameplay?

Good question. I play meter, with everything off like you (vibration on because otherwise have no idea where zone is) and I also play with broadcast which means every stadium has a slightly different angle.

I don’t feel it effects much at all other then the aesthetics of things. Meaning some angles, the ball looks quicker coming in. The only thing it might is the feel of where a pitch could be going. If one camera is dead center and the other is offset, a slider breaking away start point might “feel” different but I don’t think it is. That’s why I have the vibration on.

Though I doesn’t impact much, I do notice if I’m not pitching well, I will change to a “broadcast” custom camera setting of the few broadcast angles I really like. That and if the angle is too steep and I can’t see bottom of zone or catchers finger.

I use a custom cam view where it's as close to POV as possible with meter pitching. I haven't noticed any difference between that, the default, or broadcast angles.

Add - like you I pitch with everything off and I haven't seen it effect the game play

I like the challenge of different views when going to other stadiums. Simulates for me a feeling of being on road.
