    MLB THE SHOW EVOLUTION VIDEO

Thought I’d just share this video showing some of the evolution of the game since 1996.

I'd give anything for updated rosters for the PS2 games.

If they just updated MVP baseball for the last 16 years I would have been fine with that lol.

I miss the hitting cameras from these games. Vin Scully though. What a legend. For someone who grew up in New England and didn’t get to hear many of his games, what a pleasure it was just to have him on those earlier editions of the game.

Well, actually, in case you weren't aware, MVP has pretty much gotten updated on PC every year. And not only that, but also classic historic seasons.

Man, what was the licensing budget like for MLB 2001 to get a "Respect" clip for the home run music?

does anyone remember how different 989's last game, MLB 2006 was compared to SDS's first entry MLB 06: The Show? this is around the time I was playing MVP 05 & MLB 2K6 mainly. I cannot remember the transition 989 & SDS had, was it a drastic change or more of a smooth transition?

I really hate that they counted one year ahead while it works in other sports it doesn't work for baseball video games. MLB 2006 which came out in 2005 and then you have MLB 06: The Show. I am confusion.

No big diff between MLB98 & MLB22, just a roster update.

It was fun to watch and good memories !! Thx for that

It’s amazing all the little details we have now in the game.

Me too. I wonder if MLB or the PA didn’t like it, either; every licensed title used to count a year ahead in the 1990’s and between 2003 and 2006 they all converted to the same year method.

well, unless you want Gabe Kapler on the Tigers instead of the Giants,
this roster update was pretty significant lol

1996? I was 50 playing this game. Was it that long ago? Some of you guys weren’t even born.
