Between games ?

I'm going to try to play through a franchise for the first time. Obviously it's going to take a long time so I was wondering what others who play all their games do between matches ?

Do I spend a lot of time moving players up and down, how much time is spent scouting and trading etc.

I spend about a minute between games aside from the rare times I am 'researching' things - that cadence can vary depending on the context of what is happening on the field.

Depending on how realistic you want things to play out. I try to be as realistic as possible. I do scouting here and there, and I don't get trade happy. I did make a trade before the season but probably won't make any others until around the deadline.

As far as moving players around. I usually just let them develop unless they have been playing on the big club in real life. If you just let players develop in the minors, you will get notices about how they are performing and then you can decide if you want to move them up or down depending on that. Or I think it will be automatic depending on the settings.

Do people setup scouts and just leave it or check on a regular basis ?

Packmanuk - One thing to be careful about is the degree of automation that you configure. For example trades can be manual or auto. While it’s convenient to have some tasks automated you probably don’t want trades to be that way.

I was going to keep everything manual.

So basically I can make trades as and when to improve my team. Setup scouting and check every now and again and just play the games. Maybe look once a week to see if anyone needs to be moved.
