Challenging
Has anyone seen any plays that you or the cpu can challenge besides plays at first or fair/ foul home runs? I haven’t. I had the challenge turned off for about 40 games and had it off all of last year because one I’m old school , and two if it’s only with two possible plays I really don’t see the point.Tags: None -

Re: Challenging
I had thought someone had said the challenge was taken out. I didn’t see a single one in ‘21 then saw my first one in ‘22 about 30 games in. Yes, it’s limited, I sort of like it. Another bit of presentation. Haven’t seen the fan cam yet tho.Comment

Challenging
Idk if this is placebo but I heard once (around mlb 18 or so when challenges were introduced) that if you hold square on plays you think should be challenged, it triggers the challenge interface.
Again, could be placebo, but I do it every time I feel it was close and it seems to work. I haven’t tried it with home runs though, will try next time it happens.
On that note, I haven’t seen a challenge trigger for HR and/or an “umpire induced” review where the umps get together and look at it in the last few years.
Has anyone had a UMP review/challenge opportunity for HRs?
I didn’t know you could turn challenges off, I might do that because the CPU never uses them but would be nice if you still got the “umps getting together to determine fair or foul” cutscenes still.
