Can’t play Franchise games

Playing on Xbox game pass. Ever since the last patch I can’t continue my franchise. It kicks me back to the Home Screen every time I try to play a game. I was able to play an exhibition game but nothing on Franchise.

Has this happened to anyone else?

I just had a message pop up saying
(CE-34878-0)

This has never happened before and now has happened in three straight games. And yes it kicks me back to the Home Screen

I’m getting the same thing. I’ve restarted the system and still get a crash and error when trying to load into the game.

I keep trying to play my franchise game against the cubs and it shows the lineups and started as it usually does but when it try’s to get me into the actual game it kicks me to the ps Homescreen with an error

It's happening to me too. It gets to the lineup screen and then gives me an error message.

Hearing this is happening on XBOX AND PS systems is definitely concerning, but I did load up my franchise on PS5 just now with no issues. Watching a CPU game now.

Definitely report it if you're having a problem, though.

Yup. Crashed to dashboard on Xbox One. Legit game breaking.

im sorry you guys are having issues. im on ps5 and knock on wood i was able to start the game and finish. for those on ps5 make sure to clear the bd data that has help alot with freezing

Yep. On PS4. Really annoying. I doubt they'll fix it this weekend either.

Between this and the freeze issues around pop up’s around first base Sometimes I think it’s better to not download patches. And I agree it’s Friday afternoon so I doubt it’ll be fixed over the weekend.

Tried loading my PS4 version on the PS5 (MVP edition) and hard locked the system while going to the franchise load screen. Fun.

Can confirm there's an issue, although the PS5 version may have dodged it somehow. I tried that one again immediately afterward and it loaded fine again, all the way up to starting a game.

Also, starting a new franchise on PS4 is not causing a crash, but the load in to gameplay is. I got the error screen (seperately from the above hard lock) when the game was loading into gameplay.

This will get fixed fast, if it's this widespread.

I can load into franchise fine, I just can't start games.
