There is something wrong with Franchise Mode

I play all my games with the Mets.

I have lost every single game since they did the update in the exact same manner.

Either I can't hit and just lose or I take the lead and when the CPU comes up to bat they become unstoppable at the plate and take the lead no matter how good I pitch.

If I make 10 good pitches the CPU fouls all of them off and then when I make a mistake they get a hit.

Same thing over and over for like 4 games STRAIGHT.

Then my bats go totally dead the rest of the game.
    Same programming OVER AND OVER.
Its to the point where I can predict what is going to happen.

Anyone else experience this since the latest update?

Nope....I've played 10 or 11 games in my franchise since the patch (and 8 of them today) - incredible variety.
Play the games you love, not the games you want to love.

I’ve played 2 games with the Phillies at home vs the Rangers.

I shut the Rangers out Game 1 and lost 12-8 in the other game.

I’m on Hall of Fame difficulty, zone hitting and meter pitching.

Yeah that is what I am saying.
Hopefully this is just a short term change

I have not seen that at all since the patch. Game seems to play better than ever right now. Hopefully it does for you not sure what is going on there.

Yes I am experiencing issues with Franchise mode as well. First off after this patch dropped while connected to the internet I was unable to play a game on my franchise, it crashed just before the game was about to load. Disconnecting from internet fixed it for the day or two issue and seems to be working fine while connected now but back to the real issue.

The game is playing differently to me since the patch, I am struggling to hit more than ever and so is the CPU. They have lost their oomph at the plate a bit and I already jack up the power, contact, solid hits because well pitching has been always been too easy on The Show and in baseball games general even on high settings.

I have been experiencing mostly low scoring pitching duels since the patch with little variety. 1-0, 2-1, 3-1 type games in the 8 or so I've played since. Tried it on a Twins franchise, then a Giants and Rangers just to see. It feels flat all of a sudden.

I understand the cold streaks in franchise mode on The Show. It's notorious for it but it feels like something else. NBA 2K does this sometimes with their patches in the past. I was having tremendous matchups before the patch, hope its just a bad stretch. The game can be very predictable at times like you say even before patch, how the game is from a long time addicted user.

Playing on PS4 Pro btw. Might not be an issue for next gen folks.

My gameplay is now starting to get back to normal. But the CPU has stretches where they are just unstoppable but now it is actually blending into the gameplay. They are definitely tinkering with the programming and the gameplay without telling us because it changes from one extreme to the other too much.

What I am about to mention has been noticeable since last year's game. Didn't play 2020 much so it could've been there too.

But the two out hitting by the cpu is sometimes unstoppable until you change pitchers, moreso the bullpen guys. I learned last year to yank my RP as soon as he allows a guy on base with two outs if he's not in the middle of that (dumb) 3 batter rule.

This year has been the same thing. Sometimes it feels they get a contact rating boost, vision boost too when there is 2 outs lol. Moral of the story, yank that pitcher asap once you get that feeling you're talking about where you can almost predict what's about to happen. I know exactly what you're talking about cause I've been there. And it's crazy that once their mini hitting run is over that last out is the easiest out from the three in that half inning lol.

I don’t know if you’re on the money per se but i absolutely without a doubt try to play the game this way as much as possible: every single thing you do is a strategic decision.

If I forget to get a guy up and throwing when I had told myself to do so, I’m ok with the game treating that as a fatal mistake. As such, I try to make every single BP move (and mound visit for that matter) with absolute precision.

I am firm in the belief that getting guys up and throwing can alter the state of the pitcher on the mound for example, and that which pitcher you get up and throwing and when makes a difference on top of that. — Call me crazy on that but the point is that’s how precise I try to be with my mound-visits and BP management. It’s immersive af.
                    Just one man’s opinion.
I don’t actually care about any of this.

Hey you could be right with your theory lol. I embrace the challenge of the two out hitting the cpu gets at times. It definitely forces me to play the role of manager more than any other year playing before MLB 21 and now this year's game. It's frustrating when it happens but like you said, it's on me to put in the right RP at the right time.

The three batter rule really sucks however cause it takes some manager choices out of your hands. I would love if we had the option of turning that rule off just like we have the option for DH and extra runner rule.
