Can't load anything

When I go to load up a saved franchise by hitting square first it stays on screen that shows files to load. On the video of Ohtani that plays when you launch the game, the only way I can skip it is by pressing the option button. Pressing any other button does nothing.

I can load last saved franchise by hitting x though. But as soon as I go to file management to load or anything it locks up. Won't scroll down or do anything when I hit x or circle to go back.

I literally can not play until I'm able to load and save files. Any ideas?


Edit: Fired up MLB 21 and it's doing the same thing. Only thing I did was close app while I was playing a game cause I didn't want to sim until end etc.

dunno if/how it can be fixed but sounds like corrupted files
at first, from just the thread title, I thought it sounded like maybe similar to what Bullitt went through over the weekend,
but after reading, I'm leaning file corruption

What really gets me and why I can't hit any button to skip opening cutscene now. The option button pn ps4 controller is the only button that will skip it.

any other games besides the Show you can look see if any older save files are still good?

Other games work and load up saves fine. Only the Show however that has you go into that file management screen.

Well after two ps4 restarts and a good 10-12 game app closes and restarts it now works again. Idk what that was to effect both MLB 22 and 21. Able to skip opening cutscene by pressing any button now too. Weirdest thing ever.

Not to self and others: IF you want to quit a game currently in progress and restart it for some reason, never just close app in the middle of game. Sim to end (auto save off of course) and back out to main screen before closing out game.

Only thing different I did and had to been the trigger for that. Why it effected MLB 21 is beyond me.

I just wanted to restart and time how long it took to finish a game on broadcast and no skipping anything lol. Normally I do broadcast for 1st inning then go to fast play. With batter walk ups on there's not much a difference other than replays and minor cutscenes inbetween pitches tbh.

Just too add my 2 cents. I really think there are issues with the servers. As someone who just spent 4 days struggling to download Live Rosters to get the game to work. To only have it just start working yesterday? I know it was not on my end. So something had to glitch on their end.
