    My favorite line.

I also really want to know what was so funny when Boog's holding back a laugh while saying 0-1.

Today I played with the Dodgers for the first time and Boog introduced Max Muncy as "that funky Muncy". I was very pleased.

Kind of a throwback…………………no batting gloves.

I am tired of hearing that...it gets repetitive...I like "Oh no, Pedro Baez...the human rain delay." But I wish there was an option to cut off the "color" announcer and just hear the play by play. I believe that was in an earlier version...that way you don't hear the same comments over and over.

You're right. Back when we had the three man-booth (either the Campbell/Hudler era or the Karros/Reynolds era) each announcer had their own volume.

Playing as Baltimore....I don't want to hear anything more about crabcakes or Chris Singleton's stint with the O's.... (I imagine a ChiSox franchise with the story about Singelton's cycle would be in the same vein of frustrating).

Those stories are cool once....like maybe as a visiting team....but if you pick certain teams, oh boy....

(reminds me of the "Judge Chambers" thing they used to do in Yankee stadium in past iterations)

They should really move away from the little conversations and banter, and focus on adding as much play by play commentary as possible. Create as many different lines as possible discussing plays on the field, team stats, player stats, recent performances, team transactions, division/playoff races, award races, etc. The extra side stuff is ultimately a waste of recording time.

It is cool at first and and does add authenticity, but it just doesn’t work in a video game where those same stories and side conversations will be played out over and over. Maybe someday games will somehow be able to mimic that aspect of real life broadcasts without it becoming a repetitive annoyance, but we clearly aren’t there yet.

You are so right. I started a franchise with Baltimore and they will beat you down. By accident when deleting some logos I also deleted my franchise. I started over with the Reds.

Well said, I’ve been arguing this for a long time.

The example I used the other day was to compare going through a guy’s pitch repertoire when he takes the mound, and how relevant and dynamic that would be just by its very nature, versus these garbage lines about taking the ball every five days.

“Here’s [pitcher’s name] … fastball, slider, change ….. good fastball. [height & weight]. He’s got x wins and x losses …. The era is 4.34 or whatever … he hails from [where he’s from].”

And the thing to note is how this “script” would apply equally for all players and doesn’t rely on anything except stats, facts and attributes, so a created played would get the same, accurate, commentary as anyone else.
                              Just one man’s opinion.
I don’t actually care about any of this.
