Mlb the Show 21 was my first time buying the game, bought it again this year. It's not a "main" game I play, the only mode I play is Online Rated and do ok at it. But I'm always seeing all these new content drops and stuff from the dashboard. Can someone give a quick rundown / explanation of the different Game Modes, they seem kinda confusing. Like just a quick breakdown / the basic premise or how to succeed at it? Thanks

there are your 'minor modes', practice mode, home run derby, playoff mode and play now (exhibition games)
the ''meat and potatos'' of the Show, are your online rated, rtts (road to the show), diamond dynasty, franchise mode, and March to October
I'm not going to go into depth explaining each of them due to time constraints, but rtts is where you play a career as one player only, trying to get to the big leagues.
March to October, is almost like a Franchise mode lite, where the cpu, for lack of a better term, decides what games in a 162 game season you will play. sometimes you only play a couple innings in a given game.
I dunno how to describe diamond dynasty. yeah, the simplified explanation is it's a card collecting mode, but that explanation doesn't do it justice as it is so much more, even though it ain't exactly my cup of tea
as for how to succeed, at each, I'd just say keep playing, play a lot, practice makes near perfect. play till your fingers and eyes bleed lol
