Re: Do you use 30 Team Control or Single Team for Franchise
Single team for me.
I honestly dont have the time or patients to learn the wants and needs of all the teams, and then adjust them accordingly. If the CPU wants to make bone-headed deals, then so be it. With the current state of many franchises, its almost realistic at this point. (ex: The Rockies basically paying the cards to take Arenado)
I get a lot of people on here are all about realism, and are OCD about stuff, but I just learned to let go, and focus on my team. With the "salary cap" the game implements, I dont have to make too many house rules to keep myself in check.
But to each their ownNFL - Denver Broncos
NCAAF - Boise State Broncos
Champions Indoor Football - Sioux City Bandits 9-2
MLB - Toronto Blue Jays 56-45
NHL - Colorado Avalanche 2022 STANLEY CUP CHAMPIONS
United States Hockey League - Sioux City Musketeers
2022 Clark Cup ChampionsComment

Re: Do you use 30 Team Control or Single Team for Franchise
I use 30 team control. The CPU is ALL on auto. The only thing I control outside of my team is If I think the trade doesnt fit. IE Tony Kemp. Every franchise year I play, teams give up farm for him and have absolutely zero use for him. I stop things like that. Thats my extent of getting involved with other teams. Outside of that, I let the other teams do as they please.Really wish sports games played to ratings!
Only thing SIM about sports games now, are the team name and players
CFB 25 The absolute GOAT!!!
MLB 23 FOREVER 20 is better, 23 just for Guardians
Madden get rid of the extras (SS/XF, HFA, media, scenarios, game plan) or turn them down considerably.Comment

Re: Do you use 30 Team Control or Single Team for Franchise
I have 30 team control setup but don't use it for much. I'm debating signing some free agents for teams and letting others go just to spice it up. I also do some prospect editing for realism.
I also have done a trade or two where I force through a 5 player for 2 deal where I send 5 major league players/top prospects for 1 really good player and a throw in. For example, if I were going to trade for Juan Soto I may force through a 3 for one trade for him where I send 3 A rated prospects. And then do a second trade where I get a C or D potential career minor leaguer and I send another 2 or 3 A or high B rated prospects back. With trades being limited to 3 players on each side this is the only way I can think to make something like this work. I don't do it often, and I do I try to keep it as realistic as possible.

Re: Do you use 30 Team Control or Single Team for Franchise
Single team. I play all 162 using quick counts. I stay about a month behind the real season. I only make roster moves and trades to reflect what happens in real life for my team. I ignore or sim everything else to do (draft, contracts, etc.) in franchise mode. By the time I finish my season, it’s usually November/ December. Then I’ll play around in the other modes until the next version comes out. Been doing this since about 2012. It’s always interesting to hear the varieties of ways people play and enjoy the game.Comment

I play all 162, every pitch with my Minnesota Twins. Then I also control the other 29 teams. I control everything. I will do real life lineups and injuries up until I pass the real life season. Then from there on out I manage injuries. I send people down for rehab assignments after long term injuries, call up and send down people, manage lineups and rotations, fire managers, free agency, trade deadline, etc. I do everything. I am in mid September right now. I had a long of fun working with the orioles pitching staff earlier in the year. Fired their pitching coach, bringing people up and down, trying to find anything that worked"Friends dont let friends be packer fans"Comment

Re: Do you use 30 Team Control or Single Team for Franchise
I do single team control as its my own virtual universe and I let the CPU do what it does in regards to roster moves. Admittedly this year, a few moves have raised a concern from me, but that was more to do with someone who was disheartened by having to start over a franchise again, after using carryover saves for so long.
As always, I let the season play out and things seem to work themselves out.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(
