Boog cannot work a walk even if he’s given a false scouting report.

No way no how. They say it every game and I’m not convinced!

They haven’t said it EVERY game for me. They do need something different. The announcing has been cleaned up quite a bit thru patches since release. I’m sure it will improve.

Yep. Its definitely repetitive, but i definitely enjoy the new team more than the the toned down version of Matty and Plesac/DeRo (all of whom I like IRL...although Plesac and DeRo dont actually call live games to my knowledge). The patches have definitely kept it somewhat fresh, still some rough patches but like many other parts of the game the foundation is there

hear it every game along with "you get a walk and you get a walk", and "did that have a little wrinkle to it?" Patches have made commentary better, but for me these 3 repetitive commentary pieces drive me crazy!!

I traded for Ketel Marte. Now I have to listen to Boog say "Definitely not a partay for Ketel Marte" every time he strikes out and I probably wouldn't drink so much if I didn't have to hear that.
Would the lady who left her nine kids at Wrigley Field please pick them up immediately? They are beating the Cubs 4-0 in the 7th inning!

I traded funky muncy away. I would get so mad every time. Every at bat “That funky muncy” hjsdujvgsdcgshmdvhmsdg

I feel bad for uprooting him and his family because a announcer corny aZz commentary lol

            I couldn’t take it

I specifically traded max for a guy with no backstory lol

Just reading through this thread reminded me to post this.

A Cleveland radio station had Rex Hudler on talking about the Guardians going into a series with the Royals. Somehow MLB The Show came up and they started talking about it, and he said when he was working on the game it was an absolute blast and they let him be himself, for the most part.

Said everyone there was great to work with.

The repetitive lines don't bother me too much. What bothers me is when they get numbers wrong like saying a guy is 1 for 1 when he is 1 for 2 or that a team has won 8 in a row when they've won 9.

Another thing, not related to commentary, that irks me is when the Astros hit a home run the onscreen pop up says "Train Number XX has taken off". The problem is that it gives the jersey number (as the train number) of the guy who bats BEFORE the guy who hit the homer not the guy who hit it.

I either turn the commentary so low it just sounds like a murmur...or turn it off entirely. I do miss hearing the play by play. I wish they would go back to the 2 slider system so you could keep the play by play announcer but turn off the stupid repetitive chatter.
