    User platoon splits

Anybody else feel like they would have noticeable platoon splits even if all players had equal ratings? Lefty on lefty is so tough for me. Opposite handed, I feel like I see everything so well.

It's interesting because a real life lefty hitter who can't hit lefties will have bad batting attributes against lefties in the game. But since the visual difficulty of lefty/lefty actually translates so well to video game baseball, I probably end up doing even worse with these players.

Absolutely. Everything else being the same, hitting same handedness is harder. The timing window for the inside fastball is much higher, and breaking stuff going away from you is harder to it.

This was me a few years ago and I used to stock my team full of platoon players hahaha. I realized I just needed to train myself to get better at same handedness.

My lefty on lefty approach is to look inside, because those have the best chance of being over the plate. Anything that looks over the plate will likely be outside. If the pitcher can paint the the outside corner on me, fair enough.

But then I go and notice my hitter has like 30-something contact vs. lefties. Like, Show, I can replicate this hitter's .220 average vs lefties on my own, thanks.
