Franchise Spreadsheet Template with Tons of Features!

I found a template a few years back on Reddit I believe and have added bits and pieces to it ever since (I have no clue who originally created the base template but if you're around please let me know!). The file below can be downloaded from Google Drive and edited to your liking.

As you'll notice, Data for 2 years is filled in already to give you an idea on how to fill out each field.

    Highlights of this Spreadsheet:
    Spoiler

For Player stats, if you need more years, just copy and paste and rinse and repeat. For OPS+/ERA+, I use the league average OPS/ERA from 2021. You can adjust this in the formula based on your MLB The Show Franchise's league average OPS/ERA.

In the Transactions tab, the "Former Team" pictures are found with a simple google search with "PNG" attached. Then copy and pasted/resized to fit within the column.

If you have any questions let me know! I love keeping spreadsheets for my games and this is my favorite one by far.

I think this is exactly what I'm looking for! Simple yet still holds a plethora of info. I keep a spreadsheet tracking an NCAA Dynasty and have been wanting to do the same for the show. Appreciate you sharing!

This is awesome. Thanks for sharing. I added this with my boxscores that I do every game. So the numbers transfer right to the stats page.

Ooooh smart. I definitely should add in a box score tracker that automatically fills player stats.

This is awesome man, good work. I want to use this as a companion to track and write stuff about my career modes in sports games. Does anybody know if Proboards is the best website to do that? Just looking for something where I can post data from these spreadsheets and write little articles and such. Essentially my own mlb . com for my franchise.

I've been using this, and I dig it. I'm not using all the tabs, and at one point I deleted some, and deleting the OpsERA tab screwed up OPS+/ERA+. So don't delete tabs is the lesson.

I love this spreadsheet tracking all my stats. I even gone crazy and added a drop down box with All, Last 3, Last 5, Last 10, Last 20, and Last 30 in the Player Stats sheet. So if I select last 10, the numbers change to see the numbers from the last 10 games. I love just looking at and playing around with it when I’m bored at work.

When I get home tonight, I’m going to drop my updated sheet. No major changes but I did change FIP+ to FIP- which uses each teams park factor so if you’re using a team like Colorado you can better gauge your pitchers performance.

How do you calculate the batting average against for pitchers? I am trying and using the innings x 3 for number of outs and then add hits divide by hits. I’m coming up wrong.

Like my average against is .236 but the formula is coming up .231.

                        Hits/((IP*3)+hits)

That’s because that is showing a pitchers BABIP, not BA against.

It is calculated much differently and essentially shows you how lucky/unlucky a pitcher has been.

Thanks. Yeah, I seen that stat. But are we able to fight batting average against from the spreadsheet?

Franchise Spreadsheet Template with Tons of Features!

Just wanted to hop in here to let everyone know that I’m currently working on a fully revamped version of the spreadsheet which will include a storyline/event generator to really bring your franchise to life!

Here’s a sneak peek of just one of the features this new spreadsheet will have. An International Free Agent Generator.

This generated prospect took about 50 rolls to generate someone this MLB ready. It is very rare but I think this adds a whole new level to your franchise.

When the sheet is fully finished, I will post a new thread when it’s ready!

If you have any suggestions for the Event generator or any questions PM me or Message me on discord @ JWDixon#4989
