    Controller issue on game

Weird issue im experiencing. Can’t get in contact with SONY so figured I’d ask here.

I have a DualShock wireless controller. I was playing the show yesterday no problem. Today when I load up the show my controller light turns light blue and I can’t use it. Immediately when I leave game, controller works again. Works again on every game, ps5 menu, etc. but moment I load the show, light turns light blue and I can’t use controller.

Any one have an idea of what the issue could be? Or better yet how to contact PS5 support?

    Thanks

First I would un-install The Show '22 and re-install and see if that does the trick.

If you have a second controller, try that and see if it does the same thing.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

You said DualShock. Are you trying to use a PS4 controller with the PS5 version of the game? If so, you need a PS5 controller for the PS5 version.

Edit: If that's not it, I'd try re-pairing the controller too.

It’s a dual sense controller. My bad. The controller that came with the console.

Was troubleshooting with SONY for over an hour yesterday and they were stumped to.

Reinstalled game, re-paired my controller, and nothing. The minute MLB the Show loads up on my console the controller doesn’t work. The minute MLB the Show exits from my console the controller works fine.

        Very very strange.

Do you have another controller you can try? What happens if the controller is wired into the console? You probably don't want to play that way, I'm just curious if it works when it's plugged into the console.

The only other thing I can think of is maybe rebuilding the database. I doubt that will work, but I don't know what else to try. It's definitely strange.

If you haven't already, you can also try resetting the controller. There is a small reset button on the back of it you can press with a paper clip.

It appears I’ve found people with similar issues (not The Show but other games..the controller just doesn’t work).

This appeared to help but it’s a pain having to play with wired controller and having to turn Bluetooth on and off all the time….oh well. Getting closer to a solution lol
