Confused about MLB The Show 22 RTTS

I've played MLB The Show 18,19 and 20 RTTS and I just bought 22. I'm not finding how to improve the speed, hitting and alaround performance of my player. It's completely different than MLB 20

I thought I would be able to import careers from 20 to 22 like I have on the previous years but I guess not ;(

Any help or a link to a good basic tutorial would be appreciated

It is all tied to online and DD. You have to play games to acquire points that hit goals that unlocks "badges", equipment and boosts to put into your loadout. Then you build you loadout at each level, bronze, silver, gold and diamond. You must be online to have access to any of the stuff you get. So if you loose internet or what have you you loose all of your equipment bonuses.

'20 was the last year it was "normal"

edit. Carry over saves ended in '20 as well you can no longer carry over

Bullit is correct on how it's done.

For me personally 20 was the last good RTTS. Not a fan of the loadouts.

The load outs aren't great but you don't have to play online to progress. I never do and I progress fine. I set a load out that matched the player style I was going for and haven't touched it since. I like that you don't get points to spend where you want but rather that how you play on the field and how you choose to spend your time practicing on off days influences what ratings will improve. I can't remember if 20 had spendable points but some of the past editions did. To me that's not realistic.
