Franchise Mode: Can You Still Use Stubs for Increasing Your Budget?

I have been looking for information on this because I haven't played MLB the Show since MLB the Show 19. I have MLB the Show 22, but the information I got on this forum says you can no longer use stubs, but you need sponsorships. Is this true? I would play a million exhibition games to practice to get enough stubs to get into franchise mode to always have money.

Just in case a player wanted to go to another team or I wanted to sign players to extensions the beginning of the season I was set. I don't think I can do that anymore if this is true.

You can no longer purchase stubs to increase budget inside franchise mode in '22.

You can use stubs to purchase Diamond sponsorships, which give you a boost in your budget.

You can also edit the salary of a player on your roster, like a scrub minor leaguer in their last year, which would free budget in the next year.

I think there is a limit on how high the budget can be though so that won’t work for every team. The Mets and Dodgers for instance start over budget as soon as you start a franchise so increasing someone’s salary that is in his walk year will just put you further over budget

You can not edit a contract within franchise mode.
