    Superstars and injuries

I have a Padres chise and in back to back years Tatis has torn his ACL out 6+ months. The first time was the 3rd AB of the 1st game, we fell apart. The 2nd time he managed to get almost a month in the season before the same type of injury...needs better roids lol...out 6+ months (this time it wasnt an ACL it was something else cant recall the name)... season still going, i signed Duvall... fkin Duvall- only thing on FA market
I guess my question is, how does that work in game and (real life too) when a player with a massive contract gets injured- do you still pay them all that money? I know in MLB all contracts are guaranteed, but curious about when a player is injured in multiple seasons..
Im wondering too if anyone else has had a superstar just always hurt every season?..maybe I should trade him for prospects next season

Yes, it definitely happens, and yes, you're on the hook for paying him as well.

If I was you, I'd probably push his durability up...Without being around the game right now, I'm guessing his durability would be pretty low, mainly because IRL he's played only 273 games over 4 seasons. Part of that was a PED suspension, and the rest is injuries, so yeah, I can't imagine whatever roster you have would be set up to keep him healthy.

I’m jealous lol. I never get any injuries and want some. I have the injury slider at max.

WOW that sucks. But yeah it does happen. I haven't touched the injury slider and I definitely get my fair share. Sounds like what happened to you with Soto was completely random bad luck.

I think in real life teams probably have some type of insurance on these massive contracts to protect against financial loss if something like that happens. I don't know for sure though, just speculating.
