Re: MLB The Show 23 Releases on March 28, Coming to Xbox Game Pass Day One
the new schedule and playoffs is probably pat of the problem here but I think it would not have been in anyway
anyway it confirms for me to either just stop and give up with 22 now or stay with itComment

You're likely correct. I'm sure we'll go without any current rules and review changes again as well...Comment

Glad we don't have to wait much longer to get more information. Hoping Thursday they announce the stream schedule as well as the dates for the Tech Test.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

I still don't get why Xbox gets it on day one on game pass and Playstation doesn't get anything.Comment

Not necessarily. Madden and NBA both have different graphics on the next-gen systems than the old systems. So it's possible that could be the case this year.Comment

Re: MLB The Show 23 Releases on March 28, Xbox Game Pass on Day One
Because Sony makes the game and wants to still charge $70 for it; they have said multiple times they will not give away the games they make in their studios day one on PS Plus. Microsoft wants a baseball game for gamepass and is fine just taking a fraction of the microtransaction money; they just want gamepass subscriptions, period. Playstation wants to kling to the business model of previous generations.
As someone who used to buy The Show day one on playstation for like a decade, getting this game on gamepass is like getting 6 mo of gamepass + the show for the cost of what I would have gotten the Show for. That’s the beauty of gamepass. Only 2 good day one games a year, and it pays for itself. On the otherhand, if it weren’t for gamepass, I’d never buy this game day one anymore, franchise hasn’t evolved since like the PS3, its getting beyond ridiculous how long its been since they’ve done anything with it and still are charging 70 for a roster update. I haven’t played the Show more than a month after its release in years. So it being on gamepass now serves more of like a trial for me to get my baseball fix in early in the year until I get bored of the same franchise experience and quit before May.Comment

The problem last year was the strike. They've known about rule changes for a while now so I would be surprised if they are not in.Comment

you think $70 is bad it is $125 in Aus (which is $88 US before someone says it just adds up as the same) and that be just for standard version. I laugh when I see the US whinge about $70 when we pay much more then that for PS5 games. I am tired of the gamepass debate. you don't own the game you rent it. I can play any of the the shows since 2012 if I want to.. if I just used gamepass in 10 years time I wouldn't have that option.Comment

Honestly I'm amazed but pleased that it's on GamePass again. I still enjoy the game every year thru GP, but would not spend $70 without playing it or seeing it... RTTS and Franchise need TLC.
Since the game is designed for DD, makes sense to drum up as many users thru Gamepass for MTX's $.HE'S GOT ONE FLAP DOWN!Comment

Re: MLB The Show 23 Releases on March 28, Xbox Game Pass on Day One
I think I am going to just roll with the Gamepass version this year. I like to play regular season games on my Pro in the bedroom and playoff and rivalry games on the PS5 on the big TV and setup. However, the cloud upload/download works maybe 50% of the time. It's aggravating to have that itch to play and then I try to download my franchise save and it doesn't work. I usually just play something else. Playing on the XBSX is a one stop deal and it's on gamepass. Plus I will be only be playing "next gen" version with all the bells and whistles.
