MLB The Show 23 Screenshots - Nintendo Switch
It'll obviously look much better on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, but nonetheless.

Re: MLB The Show 23 Screenshots - Nintendo Switch
as someone who played a good amount of the switch version, these screenshots look pretty dang good! seems there is at least a lighting update for the switch version, night games dont look as bad. the team shots are definitely interesting. also as bcruise noted the stands look way more filled.Comment

Re: MLB The Show 23 Screenshots - Nintendo Switch
Why would they release Switch screens before the PS5 screens. Great way to lower the expectations immediately haha.
However we won’t see great leaps of graphical improvements before they let the ps4 and switch versions go so I shouldn’t get my hopes up anyway."When it's all set and done, reality is the best innovation."Comment

Both games I just mentioned have upgraded graphics for those consoles, so yes it CAN be done but imo it all falls on the devs to make it happen.People are for reviews if it backs their argument, and against them when they don't.“I believe the game is designed to reward the ones who hit the hardest – If you can’t take it, you shouldn’t play!” Jack Lambert“Quarterbacks should wear dresses.” Jack LambertComment

Sadly I have very very low expectations for the visuals this year for next gen consoles. Heavily leaning on passing this year if my suspicions are confirmed

I wondered if this means the switch version is pretty much completed, just roster tweaking mainly leftOSFM23 - Building Better Baseball - OSFM23

Didn’t see any ads on the uniforms. Hopefully they leave those off. I don’t care if not having them in the game is unrealistic. I hate everything about it.Comment

This is 100% false, the PS4 and switch is holding nothing back, IF SDS wanted to they could very easily upgrade the visuals for the PS5 and Xbox x/s, if you need any kind of proof look no further than Madden and from what I understand the NBA 2k series.
Both games I just mentioned have upgraded graphics for those consoles, so yes it CAN be done but imo it all falls on the devs to make it happen.
Does that game have crossplay between the different consoles as well?"When it's all set and done, reality is the best innovation."Comment

Reminds me of MLB 2k13 graphics

Good point. No it does not. I believe many of us would relinquish generation to generation cross play in order to have graphics that realize the capability of our systems. I personally don’t care about current gen to last gen cross play at all.

Re: MLB The Show 23 Screenshots - Nintendo Switch
From the looks of these screenshots, they are using the same graphical engine that they’ve been using. I know it’s Switch, but all they usually do is have different resolutions and fps depending on your system’s power. I see no difference in the actual textures.
