So basically what I observed is that in the series I wasn’t involved in the cpu teams went with a 4 man rotation. The angels even started syndergaard in games 1,4, and 7 in the ALCS and Shohei DH in every game he didn’t start. But in all of the series I played the cpu went with a 5 man rotation and inexplicably once I got the world series Shohei didn’t get a single AB against me.
For reference, I’m using the default rosters and I do have 30 team control on but everything is set to auto for 29 of the teams and I haven’t made any interventions since probably May. I just decided it was too much and that I would just let the cpu do what it wanted.
Obviously this is just a one playoff sample and my settings could’ve been what caused the unusual things that I saw.
So I’m really just curious what others have observed with pitching usage and roster management in the playoffs.
