Mizuno was missing at launch last year, and when they added it back in, they never assigned it to players, like Nike Catcher's Equipment. To this day, Riley is in all generic equipment in 22 as well, even though Mizuno equipment is in the game.

Iirc, in the Tech Test, Austin Riley was generic in Custom Practice, but I think was wearing Mizuno cleats in DD. But I could be misremembering.

Yep I saw that, looks like red label is back!

That is excellent news, very good!

I really, really hope they do that for the Franklin Pro Classic batting glove as well. They even have the original design as the display picture for the glove selection, but when you choose it they have that ugly, faded, gold plated version that looks so hideous compared to the old design. Plus, plenty of current players and some stars wear the classic design I'm talking about as well, so I have absolutely no idea why it would not be in the game again.

I know I sound like a broken record, but this is a big deal, to me at least. It feels like they are teasing me, because like I said, the display picture itself is the original version and it is also still in use. No idea why they will not put that glove in the game, it just sickens me because it is quite possibly the most iconic, recognizable piece of equipment in baseball.

All talk aside, I would buy this game tonight for no other other reason than if they had that glove in game. That's how important it is to me. It's so trivial, yet so impactful because of how gross, bland, and soulless the alternative is.

If anyone from SDS/SCEA sees this, I will literally pay double for the game or DLC to include that glove. I am dead serious. I feel like I am going to be let down though, as I believe I caught a glimpse of McGwire's gloves in the trailer and they were the off-colored center, gold plated sicko gloves. We will see, time will tell. Fingers are crossed


Edit: Why does it always feel like Christmas eve on release night, even when I still haven't bought the game? Anyway, here's to hoping everyone gets what they want from it.

From what I’m saw very quickly they didn’t really add much equipment. No new cleats. But added Jazz’s Aria brand.

Bruce bolt is not in.

But new nike, new balance, under armour shoes are not in either. Makes me believe what he have now is incomplete. Maybe a day 1 update when the game gets the general release next week?

Surprised they didn't get more New Balance stuff in this year given that Ohtani is wearing a New Balance glove, batting gloves, sleeves, and everything else this year.

Super disappointed in what’s in the game so far. Maybe they will add some things preferable sooner than later.

If this was all they were going to add besides the new playoff format making me upgrade anyway I’d of stayed on 22.

Could definitely see them adding the new versions of those cleats at official launch or shortly after (I feel like that happened last year or the year before)

I doubt Bruce Bolt gets added in a patch of its not in now but you never know. I don't think they usually add brands to the game during the year

My guess is it wasn't on their radar soon enough to get into the game. I don't think anyone really knew the switch was happening till he showed up with all NB gear st spring training. Maybe more stuff gets added throughout the year though
