accuracy of contracts in terms of years

So I am putting together an excel sheet of every roster so I do not have to worry about it once the game comes out for 30 team control. Maybe just have to make some minor changes

How accurate would you say the contracts are in terms of years on the contract remaining compared to real contracts in MLB THE SHOW? If they are very accurate I can fill out the years part of my excel sheet now and save time later

Depends on what roster you're using tbh. I'm currently using one that was accurate as of Jan. 1, and the contracts in it are fine.

Spotrac also has every MLB contract listed on their website...for instance, here's the Jays https://www.spotrac.com/mlb/toronto-...ays/contracts/

Can't remember whether it's fangraphs or not, but there's another site that goes further in depth with service time, 40 man roster, minors, etc.

Yeah those sites are great I just am wondering how accurate are they in MLB the show so if I do all the contracts years wise when I open the show 2023 they are all wrong and I have to edit over 700 players

the only thing that might not be 100% accurate that I can think of is players that have team/player options.
I'm not positive about the last couple years but before that I think those scenarios were lacking. but just the straight-up guaranteed years, I have always found that to be highly accurate, even before you could edit contracts

I think they excluded options. I think. Before I start a franchise with my favorite team, I just add the team option years to the deal if they are team friendly/no-brainers to be picked up.
