Cool feature. I hope it works as well as they say because I'm skeptical that it can get an accurate scan of head and face shape from a single head-on photo. Maybe there's more to it but this video seems to imply otherwise. Also this is a huge missed opportunity if its only for RTTS and cant be applied to custom players in Franchise.

And while we're at it, since we're uploading photos, let us upload logos for custom teams!

When I saw the face scan thumbnail on Youtube I was sceptical. Then they showed you can upload images and I got a little hyped but after all the talking about RttS and DD I'm sure this is a MyPlayer only feature. Neat but missed opportunity.

Isn’t NBA2k who had this kind of feature few years ago ? Wasn’t too convinced of the quality generated tho. Well, maybe the app was good and I’m just that ugly

If you watch close enough, they show a quick snapshot of the ballplayer selection screen as well as the start career screen. So it is definitely only for those modes.

That also made it sound as if any future scan you do replaces the previous.

There is also a reason it is announced the week of the RTTS feature premiere.

Really happy they added this but if it's not something that can't be done for all modes, that's kind of a bummer. My hope would be that you could do it for any created player. It's still a good thing to have added, nonetheless. It's funny because I just played TW 14 the other day and my face scan is still on my guy in career mode ha. I think I have one for FIFA World Cup Brazil 2014. I decided to play that a few years ago and I think it popped up.

It's kind of ridiculous that games back then had it but there's so few games now that do.

this would be good if it was unlimited, but my guess is you can only make 1 face scan for the entire roster. how cool would it be if we could put a scan in for all players without one. I doubt we will have that many options though.

Yea sounds like it will be just like nba2k where you scan is for myplayer. WWE is the only game I have seen where you can scan in pictures of people.

I don't know about baseball but wasn't it on EA boxing Fight Night?

EDIT: ok, looking back, you could face scan yourself into 989's last MLB 2005 and Show 06 through Show 09

so it actually isn't a new feature but a returning one

Was my first thought, too. EA was on to something with their Gameface feature back in the day. I used it in the old Tiger Woods games, but maybe it made its way to others, too - not sure. Shame no one adopted that idea. Creating legends via photos on your computer would be AMAZING for retro roster folks.

I echo these comments 100%. One thing I thought of how awesome would it be to import minor leaguers AND my college roster players.. I would be in heaven.

They should also use it for logos and patches on sleeves. Endless possibilities I'm hoping they will allow us to use it in franchise.
