Gameplay Styles - Which to Use in Offline Franchise??

Hey everyone, I've been playing The Show for years now and I still don't know which gameplay style to choose. I only play offline franchise mode on legend difficulty so I like to think I'm half decent at the game, but I don't know whether to pick "simulation" or "competitive" when first choosing gameplay style. Can someone please explain to me which one I should be going with.

All I hear when I watch videos on YouTube from SDS about competitive is that its good for online but nothing about playing the CPU in regular old offline franchise mode... Well guess what not everyone gives a crap about online and some of us are old school so I would really appreciate if anyone could enlighten me on the difference between the 2 gameplay styles and which one is best for offline franchise mode. Thank you !!!

Whichever one you want to. It’s your game.

Competitive emphasizes user skill, while simulation emphasizes player ratings.

Simulation over arcade for Franchise Mode and Arcade for Play Now

I think it depends on your control settings. I've found that "Zone" hitting and "Pinpoint" pitching work pretty well on competitive because those mechanics already rely so much on user input.

If you use some of the other control settings then simulation is probably better for your play style

Yes, it seems to me using simulation focuses more on player attributes, which will help have different results using different players
