    Franchise mode question

Is there any way to sign the bulk of your minor leaguers easier? It’s very tedious to sign each one

No there isn't, one at a time is the only way.

not that I have found. It is kinda like a necessary evil though. several times I almost lost key prospects because I glossed over on this phase.

I had an idea to sign all "career minor leaguers" to a 10 year contract for the minimum in the Edit Player screen before starting a franchise.

Never got around to testing it but it might work

6-7 years would be great but 10 years is
          a little longish

Think that might give you some issues in the back end of the game.

I haven't finished my full season yet, but I've read that if you don't free up the correct amount of roster spots for your drafted players. I'm assuming that you'd need to release the correct amount of players to make it work?

Definitely quicker, but I *think* you'd be on the hook for that money...not a huge deal, but certainly an issue.

            Maybe someone can clarify!

Pretty sure I’ve tried to lock up some prospects in the past but they wouldn’t accept anything longer than one year.

                I may be mistaken though.

You have to do it once a season. You must be simming years at a time if you find it tedius.

Play the game. Don't sim. Problem solved.

you mean outside of actual franchise, in the edit roster screen?
not really signing them outside of franchise, just doing a contract edit

I was talking about within a franchise. I’ve never thought to edit prospects contracts within the edit roster screen before starting a franchise.

                        Re: Franchise mode question

Yeah, inside of franchise mode you cannot sign them for longer than 1 year contract.

But before you begin the franchise, you can edit the roster to change any player's contract length and salary.

If you find it tedious to re-sign all minor leaguers every year, it may be possible to edit them all to longer contracts (assuming they all remain in the minors for their full career) and not have to worry about re-signing them every offseason.

It is fun to simulate into the future. It is fun to see what happens in the future and play then.

Really not necessary to tell some how to play the game.

As far as OP question: You have until December 2 to sign. Break it up by day and do a position a day in game. It breaks up the monotony quite a bit.
