the last time I played online, ps4 wasnt a thing, and you didnt have to pay one red cent to play. when you find people that are civil, and play the game the "right" way, wont break the unwritten rules, online can be a fantastic experience.
however, 90% of my online playing experiences were ahh, less than stellar

It helps if you know the people you're playing against online. For a few years I played Madden online with some friends and it was a blast. So that's the only way I would play online.
