‘22 looks and plays amazing on my LG C2 OLED 4k with my PS4. The Show is the only PS game I play, is it worthwhile to upgrade to PS5 now that they are more readily available?

what's your interest in created stadiums?
I almost moved on to next-gen just because created stadiums are importantish to me
but at the end of the day I couldn't pull the trigger.
the ps4pro is still good enough for me for one more year,

Unless you just have to have Created Stadiums, I don't think its worth the upgrade of $500.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Once I played The Show on my PS5 with my LG C1 TV, I could never go back to PS4. It absolutely makes a difference on your TV setup, so with you having the C2, I would say yes it's definitely worth it.

It's going to be 50/50 here.
The game definitely runs smoother on the PS5. I definitely enjoy it on the PS5.
But if you only play one game, that's debatable if it is worth it. If you were going to play other PS5 titles that take advantage of the system it is totally worth it.

I'm on a C2 as well. After several hundred games playing the PS4 version of 21, I upgraded to the PS5 version. I have no regrets.
I found the game unplayable in 4K on the PS4 Pro. No issues on the PS5. PS5 also brings faster loading times and the weird texture glitches are largely gone.
If you're planning on buying MLB 23/24/25/etc., then I say go for it. You're going to have to upgrade eventually anyway.Comment

I do not have a side by side ps4 to ps5 comparison but my god the visuals to my ancient eyes have not improved since the ps4. Hoping praying sending ravens to whoever that come next year we get an improvement in these dinosaur visuals. Let’s leave the ps4, switch and prior gen Xbox behind. Or quite simply give me a true next gen version of this game

this is going to be the tricky part.
it'll be easy enough to move away from the ps4 and last-gen xbox,
but the switch is another thing entirely.
from what I understand, it's MLB that wants the Show on nintendo and xbox, not Sony, so until nintendo moves up to current gen, Sony may have to lobby MLB for permission to leave last-gen consoles behind. and offhand, I'm not even sure where nintendo stands in regards to upgrading their consoleOSFM23 - Building Better Baseball - OSFM23
