Since the latest firmware update for ps5 the game looks even better and the equipment flickering is gone. It’s truly a totally different experience I’m having. Can anyone else play and confirm I’m not going crazy lol.

not crazy.....20 looks as good on the ps5 as 22(ps55) version does on the ps5.

I agree. The game looks better than I remember no equipment glitches (which wasn't a huge deal but was definitely annoying and kept me from going back to '20). Definitely gonna get some historical rosters downloaded and get 20 back in the rotation

I can confirm this.......the best just got even better. Man.....details on the equipment are even sharper....just holy ***t!!

have to have a look I still say mlb 20 was the greatest show game ever! Y2Y importing rosters from 19 SOTS.

it had everything. I played it during one of the worst years of my life to death that game for about 2 years. it is in there as my most played game of all time. Lots of memories the game came out on Friday the 13th 2020. the day spring training got shutdown it was a depressing day and mixed feeling day playing that game day 1. but boy it was part of my life in some dark times

This is incredible and unexpected, out of nowhere news. I had actually played 3 innings earlier today, but now I am about to go back and boot it up to see what I notice given the news. Come to think of it, I thought the Nike gloves looked a little sharper earlier...

it truly was unexpected and man how the game feels new again. BTW thanks for every roster you have given us on mlb20 i think i have them all downloaded lol.

Can I still roster share my PS4 1977 roster to my PS5 if I purchased mlb 20 PS5 to enjoy the graphics upgrade? or was that only mlb 19 that can transfer Thanks

Thank you, you're welcome. I appreciate that. I have been very quiet in the roster section but I have also been very active in that same category as well. I hate posting times and dates at this point because I lack the free time I once had and don't want to lie or put pressure on myself, but I do have some announcements to make sooner rather than later, as I have shared with Armor in the past few days. I will most definitely provide the details in our thread (in a week or two, if I must provide a time) with some visuals as well.


As for this news, it is just incredible. What a great way to breathe new life into an already phenomenal game. I barely have any time into it since the update but I am reinvigorated by the enhancement(s).

There was a firmware update for the PS5. The jump in the graphics quality really does give it a new game feel. Game is stunning looking.

(MLB The Show 22 is the only game I have on my PS5.)

Yesterday I checked my other games...NBA 2K23, Madden 23 and PGA Tour 2K23. I don't know if I'm imagining things, but all three seemed like they had an uptick in graphics. NBA 2k23 seemed to have a pretty big difference. The colors seem more vivid now and with more clarity. There's always been a slight haze to this game's appearance on PS5 and it seems like this is now gone! The game looked great before, but now looks even better! On Madden 23 and PGA, the lighting seems better now. I'd be interested if anyone else has noticed this too.

Please clarify what you mean.

I think your meant this:

If the roster you are referring to is currently being played on your MLB 20 game on your PS4 it will work on a PS5 as well. You just need to transfer over your save either downloading it from your cloud storage on PSN or a usb stick to the PS5 HDD.

I use an external HDD for my PS4 that works on the PS5 as well. So all my PS4 files are in the cloud and on my 1TB external as well as a 256G USB.

Triple control lol!
