Re: MLB The Show 23 Impressions (Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Switch)
I can play via GamePass on Series S. Is there a huge dropoff on Switch? It's on sale for 30 bucks and I'm thinking about buying it for the cross platform aspect

I don't have the game, but sounds like framerate is still a huge issue on the Switch. It would seriously drop into single digits at times when I played 22.Currently Playing:

Re: MLB The Show 23 Impressions (Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Switch)
One of my biggest pet peeves about this game is that the CPU just doesn't shift the infield enough. It's extremely rare unless the hitter has "Extreme Pull", and then they normally shift the OF too (and teams pretty rarely shift the outfield anywhere near to the degree that they do in this game). And if there is a runner on board, the CPU just goes back to playing straight up.
The majority of hitters in this game should be getting Extreme Left/Right, and most of the ones who don't get that shift should still get the normal left/right. And teams still shift left and right in double play depth. And "Guard Lines" probably shouldn't even be a thing anymore. I don't recall the last time I saw a team protecting the 1B line against a right handed hitter unless the 1B was holding a runner.

Love the game, but the lack of accuracy in the jerseys and cosmetic side of this title is a real drag. Starting to become an issue that is endemic.
After multiple years support tickets I figured I’d switch up my approach. Found a few contacts in ZOOM Info that have titles for MLB that would have interest in their licensed product being inaccurately misrepresented repeatedly by SDS. Sent examples specifically centered around current jerseys completely missing, and errors within the assets that go uncorrected.
Chances are small this has any impact but SDS is very, very underwhelming in its attention to accuracy regarding uniforms.Comment

Update:
I have gotten a response via email from two individuals. Both aren’t exactly sure where this concern should go but one of the individuals is encouraging me to share the examples with him. Will share as this continues to develop.Comment

Re: MLB The Show 23 Impressions (Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Switch)
Haven't played any video games since the pandemic in 2020 and thought I was done. But I've loved this series since 2012 so when 23 went on sale for $30 at Target I picked it up last week.
Really enjoying it, especially Critical Moments in Franchise mode. I have 30-team control on, so I like experiencing these situations with every team as a way to go through a lot of games in a short amount of time. I've added all legends to the team they spent most of their careers with and that's enhanced the fun.
Also love the scroll during games, which I don't remember being this in-depth in 20 (maybe it was), with milestones reached, individual slumps ended, hitting streaks, extended, info from other games, etc. Was cool seeing messages about Hank Aaron hitting his 800th home run and another legend (forgot which one) winning his 300th game on the same day. Adds to the immersion.
Only negative so far is occasional hiccups just before or after making contact. Not sure if it's my TV or what's causing it.It's on me. I shook his hand too hard. It was a hard ... kind of a slap-shake.

Re: MLB The Show 23 Impressions (Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Switch)
Man, the performance on base PS4 is borderline unplayable, and definitely unacceptable. I never noticed it during my playtime in Diamond Dynasty as much(probably due to the minor league parks I have been playing in) but I recently booted up March To October and it is SLUGGISH.
The framerate its definitely sub-30 and looks single digits when certain camera switches occur due to fielding, or events.Comment
