1. Some of my attributes are being "capped". Why is this happening? Will they become uncapped?


2. After a couple of seasons, I'm the best hitter on my team. I was in the minors too. I have never batted above six on any team, with the exception of one week when the team had 9 players on the IL. My team has .190 hitters with an OBP of .230 and no power ahead of me in the line up. Is this happening to anyone else?

Does the show 23 have accurate home run songs? I know 21 does and I'm thinking of getting 21 on the PS5 since this is my first PS5 from having a PS4.

I'm talking about stadium home run songs like they do in mlb the show 21.

I think you're a little confused. '21 (or any year) definitely doesn't have real home run songs out of the box. The PS4 versions of the series - including '23 - have the capability for the customer to add them in via Sounds of The Show. The PS5 and XBOX versions do not have this feature.

I played the game for the first time last night. First MLB game since 2016!

I tried out all the pitching and hitting, and I think I'll stick with the analog pitching I used in the past. As for hitting, there's no analog hitting (as in you dont need to aim, you just need to have the right timing)? The best I've seen might just be the button hitting, with power, contact, and normal swing. Is that the preferred hitting method for most people?


Anything people suggest checking out (settings wise) for someone who hasn't played in years? I don't mean like I'll be at a rookie skillset, I just mean maybe there's settings that weren't around in past games that I might miss or not realize are a thing.

Not a fan of it in real life but like it for the show to stop those 20 inning marathons. The runner on second I mean. Not fan of DH at all.

For RTTS, I want to turn it into what I'm trying to do on be a pro.

Make my guy insanely good early on so I can just Sim most of his career (I mainly just want to do RTTS for the side stuff, with actual game by game action almost secondary).

Any good way to do this, or do I just have to play lots in the first season and do real well to get good stats?

I'm making the huge jump from The Show 16. Seems like I've been stuck at Overall 65 for a while. Got to AAA but haven't gotten to the majors.

I'm ridiculously slow (35) which I'm assuming because I don't do any baserunning opportunities. I know I can get some speed from hitting doubles and doing the training but that stinks if doing baserunning is how you get your speed up.

I always wait for the full minors to release before I buy the game, so I don’t have ‘23 yet. Is the sound of the Tomahawk Chop heard for the Braves in games at Truist Park out of the box for the PS5 or is it still only available on Sounds of the Show?

Does anyone have any insight on how consecutively using Player Lock in Franchise mode affects A.I Logic?

I have been running a sorta pseudo career mode with Carlos Santana where I just player lock him every game. I'm running 30 team control just in case he gets traded, but I have every single setting set to Auto.

After the first complete month and 100 At-Bats I'm leading the NL in bunch of offensive categories, but the CPU has me still batting 9th in the lineup. And the lineup doesn't seem to have changed a bit. Actually it seems that league-wide the lineups have remained static, and loads of teams have guys batting below .200 at the top of their lineups. Also after a full month my team is dead last in Steals with a total of 1.

Is there some type of AI Logic breaking going on my continuously Player Locking? I know the AI always favors stats over production, but seems like something else is going on too.

MLB 22 btw. Be interesting to hear if 23 has any kinda of AI Logic improvements has I didnt really follow the development videos earlier in the year.

They keep putting Nelson Cruz in CF. I changed Tatis to CF and it still happens. What do I need to do to stop Cruz from playing CF?

Picked up some socks to boost my speed. But they are hideous. How do I wear them under long pants? I try to pick long pants when wearing then, but the game overrides.

So I had to go in and change the Padres starting lineup using 30 team controls. It works for keeping Cruz out of CF, he still gets played in RF in sims for the most part.

I’m wondering with the universal DH if they can figure out coding DH as a primary position moving forward.
