Would you say this game is a big enough improvement gameplay wise to upgrade from 22 if I’m strictly a franchise guy? I’ve purchased every year since 2008, but the last two iterations have felt and looked similar to me.

I’ve been reading the impressions thread, and can’t quite get a feel for what people are thinking.

it could still use some TLC & patchwork fine-tuning but being a franchise guy myself, it was a must-buy just for the new scheduling where every team plays every team

Of note, these are ones that are OFFICIAL face scans. They are NOT the dev-created non-CAP faces that they make for a lot of players, as those are not face scans. Here's what I found based on quickly looking through every team's 40-man roster:

        BAL
        Kyle Gibson

        NYY
        Gleyber Torres (*/?)

        TBR
        Colin Poche (*)

        CLE
        Steven Kwan

        KCR
        Aroldis Chapman (*/?)

        MIN
Carlos Correa, Jhoan Duran, Joey Gallo (*/?), Jose Miranda, Trevor Larnach (*/?), Dennis Santana (*/?), Trevor Megill

        HOU
        Luis Garcia

        OAK
        Jace Peterson

        SEA
        George Kirby(?), Kolten Wong

        NYM
        Drew Smith

        MIA
        Jazz Chisholm Jr. (!)

        PHI
Bryce Harper (!), Ranger Suarez, Andrew Vasquez

        PIT
        Jack Suwinski (?)

        COL
        Elehuris Montero (?)

        SDP
        Jose Azocar, Brandon Dixon

        Legend
(?) = Might be a completely new face scan, might be a non-CAP created face
(*) = Had previous face scan in prior game that was updated
(!) = Re-imported face scan from missing year(s) of not being in previous game
(*/?) = Unsure if it's an updated face scan

In year 2 of franchise, does the venue for interleague opponents rotate?

If fielding determines the jump outfielders get this year, what does the reaction attribute do?

                Reaction determines the jump

Fielding determines possibility of error and success of diving/jumping play and what animations are triggered

I believe there is still an option for casual co-op as well as ranked. I can't say for sure about the innings, but ranked is 9.

I had asked this previously but I think it was too soon that no one had a chance to try it yet...

When you start a Franchise with a custom roster and start in the Regular season, does the 26 man roster, lineups and pitching rotations that you set outside of Franchise stick? Or do they still get shuffled?

Every team plays every team this year, consistent with the actual MLB schedule. So there isn't a rotating interleague schedule any more.

You can't adjust the divisions without rebranding every team and then moving them around.

I recalled in the Gameplay stream they mention its intentions.

Does anyone know how to have your catcher (when pitching against CPU) call pitches and locations like in previous games? Pushing R2 only brings up your pitchers stats, or batters’ stats.

Edit: Found it! It’s under display > fielding aids > CPU pitch suggestion
