Re: MLB The Show 23 - The Little Things
Game 140 of my season, almost 500 total hours put into this game, and I'm still constantly seeing new things. For me personally, this is what makes MLBTS the greatest sports gaming franchise. It's the only game that stays unpredictable the whole time and always keeps you guessing. This was the best double play I've seen all season. It wasn't just the result of the play, but it was how smooth the game made it look, just flawless.

Then, started to read about the settings (which I didn't do at first) and started playing with options, etc. Found a few videos on Youtube and didn't knew I had EQ on the PS5!
Now, looks like you're right, it takes the game to an other level! Thanks a lot!

Re: MLB The Show 23 - The Little Things
Started a franchise using the ATG/Jim Myers 1990 rosters. Prior to starting, I simmed seven seasons and exported the players from those seasons and imported them onto the base file so players would have career stats and service time. Now, the only rookies on the roster are those players who were actual rookies in 1990. No longer seeing every player getting their first major league milestone such as hit, HR, SB, or strikeouts and wins for pitchers.
As I've started my new season with these rosters, a nice little side effect is that awards won during the simmed seasons also carry over. So Rick Sutcliffe won a Cy Young award during the sim, and the game reflects that in my new franchise and Boog mentions it. Silver slugger awards, gold gloves MVPs are all showing up.
With that being said, there needs to be a way to see these awards won on the players' pages. They are obviously under the hood somewhere. We should be able to see them

Re: MLB The Show 23 - The Little Things
Wouldn't that cause a lot of retirements of players?

Re: MLB The Show 23 - The Little Things
When I was simming I had to be cognizant of that. So I saved after each season. When I exported back to the base file I made sure to adjust their age and service time back to what it was on the roster originally or at least their age in 1990. Hopefully if I go more than one season retirements won't be a concern but I think with that age adjustment it will be fine.

Re: MLB The Show 23 - The Little Things
I wasn't really sure where to post this because I'm not sure if it's a "little thing" or a glitch. Patrick Wisdom hits a pop up to second base, slams his bat down in frustration and doesn't run it out! I really hope the not running it out part is a glitch because if not, the MLBPA may want to have a word with Sand Diego Studios about how they're representing players with a lack of effort in the game.
