    CPU Difficulty

Is anyone having an issue with CPU offense? I have bumped the pitching difficulty all the way up to Legend (default sliders, pinpoint pitching), and the CPU still gets almost no hits or runs against me. I play exclusively as the Cardinals in franchise mode. I have carried no hitters into the 7th and 8th innings multiple times, and they do not have the greatest starting pitchers in the game. The CPU seems to have no power either. I think I have only allowed one home run over about 20 games. Even when I make mistakes and hang breaking balls over the middle of the plate, the CPU will swing and miss or hit a weak pop fly.

I have played The Show for years. I'm experienced with the game, but I wouldn't consider myself great by any means. I certainly don't think I should be dominating on the highest difficulty level, nor do I want to. I want good, competitive, sim-style games.

Is anyone else having similar issues? If so, how are you handling it?

    Have you tried the sliders?

Perhaps it’s a small sample size and you’re just starting off hot right now?

I haven't adjusted any sliders. I started on dynamic difficulty. I moved up to Legend difficulty. I thought that would be the answer, as in past years, I usually settled on HOF+. I will try adjusting the CPU offense siders.

Try lowering your pitcher control and consistency to 3 or less. You probably rarely miss your spots and never issue walks if I had to guess.

Thank you! After tinkering with a few sliders, it seems consistency is helping my problem.

I have had the very same issues in the past pitching on legend with pinpoint, I’ve yet to pick up 23 until I hear if the cpu is more challenging. It’s troubling to read your post lol, is the consistency change really helping ?

No problem! In myexperience that slider is going to help cpu offense more than any other slider will. If you always start with 0-2 or 1-2 counts, you're going to dominate most games.
