Highlight Reel still a mess

I don’t get how I can have 6 plays on a highlight reel and not show the ball in play once ? It absolutely kills the immersion. I want to see the actual home run not Matt Olson face and then to the next highlight…which doesn’t show the ball in play AGAIN..this has been going on year after year. Remember when you hit a home run and you actually saw the home run ? I get DD that’s fine but when you are actually playing a franchise game in a broadcast mode ? Cmon guys.

I miss the days before the goal was to get games played as fast as possible. The term "broadcast mode" is used pretty loosely.

Very dissapointing.....Because a season is so long, I would record the Highlights packge of each game so I could keep looking back at the games I had played (by the time you get to Game 80 , its difficult to remeber what happened in Game 20)
Last years Highlight Reels didnt make sense....just a cluttered mess of close ups with very little "key plays"
Oddly, the NHL 23 removed all the TV presentation (replays etc)----such a stupid tactic.....the games should be offering more NOT less

That would have been a great idea. It would be nice if SDS explained some of their head scratching decisions.

I still do this. I save a highlight reel of each game I play in Franchise mode. It was a lot easier when the highlight reel at the end of the game was more fluid, had more plays.

Thankfully, with the PS5 it's still pretty easy to do. I just double click the "share" button after every play I want a highlight of. Then after the game, go and cut each video down to just the clip I want to show. Then use the "Share Factory" to take all the clips, and combine them into one video. Once the video is created, I simply upload to youtube.

Whole process takes 10 minutes or less.
