For those that have experienced crashes please share info

For those of you that have unfortunately experienced the game crashing can you please share some information in order to maybe pinpoint the cause.

Please share the following:

Hopefully by narrowing down what may have been the cause, we can avoid others experiencing it and maybe have information that can be shared to SDS to help find and correct the problem.

Teams: Royals and Giants
Inning: Top of 8th with 1 out
Theme: Regional

Happened when I swung and missed at a change up down and then the crash happened. I didn't write down the code number but reported it to Sony. Black screen, then went to the error screen

Haven't had any issues since I have played with the show theme

It’s definitely something with the regional theme. Once I switched over to the Show theme, I haven’t had one crash, just like the person who’d been testing and pointed it out in the bugs thread.

That’s the workaround for now.

MODE OF PLAY:Franchise



STADIUM: Yankee Stadium


TEAMS IN USE: Yankees and Phillies (me)

WHAT INNING: Can’t remember.



WHAT WAS HAPPENING AT TIME OF CRASH: Intentional walk was issued to me by the CPU.

It seems this is just a PlayStation issue? Have u heard of any Xbox crashes?

Teams: Braves vs. Royals
Inning: Middle Innings -- don't recall exactly
Theme: Regional

This happened twice in a row when I tried playing the second game of the series between the Braves and Royals (about 20 games into franchise). I have since deleted the file and started over using only The Show theme.

This is weird. I have played 13 Franchise games so far. Only 2 using The Show theme, the rest regional. Haven't had a crash yet.

This was my first time experiencing this. I will test more on regional theme as mostly I think I’ve played on the default theme.

I wanted to ask another question as its pretty much determined that the crash is due to the REGIONAL theme, but I wanted to see if we could further determine a potential cause while we wait for a potential patch.


Are you using the PITCH SELECTION CAMERAS under the PRESENTATION tab/option in SETTINGS?

Stadium: Has happened in Seattle, Cleveland and in Angel's stadiums (I play as Seattle)
Teams: See above (Mariners, Guardians and Angels)
Inning: I have had 4-5 crashes in the 10 games I've played. Most been in later innings but one happened in 2nd inning if I remember correctly. I don't remember specifics of each crash. It just glitches and takes me back to Xbox home screen.
Theme: Regional

No pitch selection cameras are being used

Are you using the PITCH SELECTION CAMERAS under the PRESENTATION tab/option in SETTINGS?

I am not using the Pitch Selection Cameras, as I have them turned off. I have had 1 crash in 21 games now

I’ve been kicked out of two franchise games at two different stadiums while on regional theme broadcast.

I have had no issue on the show theme broadcast.

Bottom of 7th inning of a game at Marlins Stadium

I think I was using the regional theme.
I don't remember the count.
I was up 3-1 with 2 guys on.
Xbox one gamepass.

I've had 3 crashes in 22 franchise games and I'm pretty sure all were with the regional theme being used. As for the picture selection screen, is that defaulted on or do you have to select it? If its defaulted on, I'm using it because i haven't messed with any of those settings.

I've played like 20 games using "The Show" Broadcast theme with not a single crash. I'm just wondering has this issue been addressed in either of the subsequent patches since the start of this thread. I didn't see it specifically addressed in the patch notes.
