    Should I upgrade from '22?

    Just looking for some feedback after a few days from release.

    On PS4 and I play mostly Franchise mode.

    What's there to like on '23 more than '22?

    For a franchise guy there is the new schedule and playoff format…also a new draft screen or some BS like that but unless you need any of those things I’d stick with 22

      I second this. Its the exact same game logic as 22, 21, 20, 19, etc. Still programmed off of 90's baseball logic. Unless you want the new CBA, scheduling, shift rule, etc. Its the same game. I personally got 23 for all the new rules and scheduling, knowing its the exact same game as 22.
      Really wish sports games played to ratings!
      Only thing SIM about sports games now, are the team name and players
      CFB 25 The absolute GOAT!!!
      MLB 23 FOREVER 20 is better, 23 just for Guardians
      Madden get rid of the extras (SS/XF, HFA, media, scenarios, game plan) or turn them down considerably.

          Fielding is tougher also with the new throw meter settings. I like it much more

              The new playoff format and being able to play every team in the league now is enough to upgrade IMO.

                But you still play teams in your own division the most

                  I would read/monitor the thread about reports of poor performance on last gen consoles before making a decision.
                  Play the games you love, not the games you want to love.

                    That is subjective.

                      Well yes, it's that way in every sport.

                        I don't think it is. There are quite a few new ones that pop up if you keep playing games in franchise.

                          * Revamped Draft and Scouting
                          * New Schedule where you play each team in the MLB
                          * New Playoff Format
                          * Presentational Upgrades (new info on news ticker, stat popups during franchise game, etc)
                          * Commentary more geared towards the happenings in your franchise
                          * Contracts re-valued (catchers no longer overly valued)

                          Not specific to franchise, but the gameplay is a lot better on '23 versus that of '22.
                          I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

                          I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

                            Heard that. Hoping enough word gets out that they will fix it with a patch.

                              if you got the moolah, then by all means, yes.
                              if not, wait for the price drop.
                              either way, game does not disappoint
