I went through those but I have no idea the good from the bad if that makes any sense.

Yeah it makes sense. You would just have to try them out. I couldn't tell you which one is the best because I don't really them.

Best thing to do is create your own.

Start at default. Pick a pitch speed you want. Make changes that you think you need made as you play games.

That's the best sliders to use. The ones that you design for you.

Re: Who has best sliders ?

I wouldnt say any slider set is bad.

Its all about what results you are looking for. I feel nba 2k give a wider result between sets. Mlb and madden often give similar results. Looking at each set and how it is tuned to the difficulty they are using is really the deciding factor for me.

Do you play on all star? Look at those sets. HOF? same, try out those. Do you play with directional or zone hitting? Metered pitching or classic? Find a set that uses something close to your play style. That is your best bet. Each set is tuned to specifice tunings and approaches. Read the ops thoughouly.

No set posted on OS is bad, just unique to the person creating them.

I think a lot of the people who have uses Armor's in the past are in the S&B Slider set. Mainly because it has similar gameplay settings (Directional Hitting/Classic Pitching).

Keep in mind you don't have to use slider tweaks if you dont want to. Quite a few players don't tweak sliders at all and swear the game plays very well out of the box. Whatever you want to do you have options.

It really is personal preference on what you want. I use sliders just for wanting the game to be as competitive as possible so if I ever win it I truly feel it was earned

The ones by S&B are usually good

Agreed. I am playing mainly on default All Start hitting and pitching and am having great games. The only thing I adjusted was increasing starters stamina for both cpu and human up one, and increasing fielding errors up one. I started a test franchise with the Twins (waiting for a roster set with Tatis to come out). My first series against the Royals I got swept and couldn't hit. I think I had 2 doubles and no home runs the whole series. I then went to Miami and swept the Marlins. One game in extra innings. My bat exploded and I hit 8 HR's in the series. I love the variety of games so far.

I'm certainly not taking a shot at slider guys at all hopefully I didn't come across that way ! I find the game hard to play and wins are very much earned how I play it as well. I'm just saying we have options on how to play the game.

not at all, You are 100% right the game plays great out of the box. I always start that way and if I have a tough time losing which eventually happens I need to tweak

This is the best suggestion. No offense to any slider maker but to be able to drastically change so many sliders less than a week after the game has been out is just not the way to go IMO.

If you don’t start from default and play a handful of games without touching a slider your doing the dev team a complete disservice. Assuming the game will play exactly the same as years past is foolish, and I don’t think anyone would want that anyway, we want to see growth from the game.

Not to mention I don’t exactly see the point of cranking sliders to absolute extremes trying to get the CPU to play better or worse rather than just raising or lowering the difficulty. For example, I’ve seen some discussions of turning CPU pitch consistency to 10 in a slider thread[emoji15]. Why not just go up one difficulty level instead of throwing the games engine through an absolute loop.

With that being said default HOF has been a treat for me. I played 15+ games without touching a single slider. I can say with almost absolute certainty, that this is the best year of pitcher/batter battles in the history of the series. Way less foul balls, way more swings and misses, still lots of hit variety. Pitchers sometimes will be on and painting corners, sometimes they’ll be off and can’t hit the broadside of a barn, goes for both USER and CPU. So after those 15+ games I didn’t feel the need to change a single hitting or pitching slider. I did tweak a few things that made the game open a bit more.

Manager Hook - 6 (Saw Verlander go 120 pitches on opening day. Since changing to 6 most pitchers get pulled around 85 pitches depending on how well they’re pitching.)

Throwing Errors Infield - 8 (You don’t see any errors at 5. Makes the game slightly more unpredictable.)

Fielder Run Speed - 3 (Allows balls to get down the line and into the corner for doubles. Allows a few more bloop singles to drop.)

Infield Arm Strength - 4 (You will see a few less easy double plays and a few more infield singles.)

(FWIW I’ve almost always used Armors sliders as a base.)
